To our Valued Patients;
As most of you are already aware, the COVID-19 situation has affected nearly everyone in our country and the dental industry has not been immune to its effects. On Monday March 16th, the American Dental Association notified dental practitioners to voluntary discontinue elective dental procedures across the nation. Tuesday March 17th, the Washington State Dept. of Health sent out a notice “strongly recommending” that dental offices statewide cease performing elective dental procedures effective immediately until further notice. The reasoning behind this action is threefold:
1. To prevent community spread of the COVID-19 virus.
2. To conserve vital personal protective equipment that may be needed for other health care facilities.
3. To protect dental health personnel who are at a very high risk of becoming infected with the virus while performing their job duties.
We feel it is our responsibility to comply with all state regulations in order to help protect you, our patients, and our staff members. Therefore, we have closed both of our locations in Woodland and La Center to routine/elective dental procedures.
The recommendations state that elective dental procedures should be discontinued until further notice. Elective dental procedures include dental cleanings, elective surgeries, routine restorations such as fillings and crowns etc.
Please be assured that we are still able to treat emergency dental situations defined as; procedures that are required for pain relief and management of infections. If you are experiencing signs of infection such as moderate to severe pain or swelling please call our office at 360 225-5600. A staff member will be available during normal business hours to answer any questions you may have and to receive treatment if needed.
We apologize for any inconvenience this situation may cause.
If you have a scheduled appointment within the next 3 weeks, we will be contacting you very soon in order to find an appropriate time to reschedule your dental treatment. There is no need for you to contact our office unless you have a dental emergency as described above.
We do not know how long the offices will be required to remain closed. However, we anticipate that things should return to a normal operating schedule hopefully by May 18th. We will be adding extra days and times to our schedule to help accommodate the backlog of appointments that will result. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this difficult situation.
We would also like to thank each one of you for allowing us to be a part of your dental health. We look forward to seeing you soon when things return to normal.
